We have two bungalows right next to the water of our own lotus lake, with access to all our facilities such as swimming pool, massage, roof top cafe, bar and restaurant.
Both bungalows are air-conditioned, have a fan, and private bathrooms, but no TV.
Your own car park right next to your bungalow.

On the upper floor we have our Rooftop Cafe.
Open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner and of course sunset drinks to enhance the magic views of the sun setting over our lotus lake.
We can also cater for private special events; birthday parties, weddings etc. where you can have the whole place to yourselves.

Camping

If you are feeling adventurous then bring your tent and you can camp right next to the water on the grassy banks of our own lotus lake. Shared toilet and shower facilities available, as well as access to our swimming pool, roof top cafe, bar and restaurant. Enjoy sunset views from your tent, and sunrise views over our lotus lake without having to leave early for a boat tour on Talay Bua Daeng.

Other attractions in the area

The Red Lotus Sea Talay Bua Daeng is not the only thing to see in our area.
We also have the Baan Suan Mon Markets within walking distance, and within a reasonable driving distance there are several local temples, the temple Kham Chanot, historic World Heritage Site Ban Chiang, the Ramasun militairy museum, and many more, you could spend an entire week exploring this corner of north-east Thailand, also known as Isaan. Your best choice for accommodation at Talay Bua Daeng

Many tourists used to stay in Udon Thani and had to get up in the middle of the night to make the bus trip to the Red Lotus Sea for their sunrise boat tour, and straight after get on the bus for the boring return journey. This was because accommodation around Talay Bua Daeng used to be limited and basic, but that has changed. Our brand new small resort is located very close to the big famous red lotus lake Talay Bua Daeng, and this is not just a boring place to sleep before the boat tour on the Red Lotus Sea, this is a place to play and stay for a few days. The whole family can entertain themself here with our rooftop cafe, swimming pool, Thai massage and sunset drinks overlooking our own lotus lake.

The property is also available for private hire for dinner parties, weddings and all sorts of special events.

Talay Bua Daeng / The Red Lotus Sea

Bua Daeng Homestay Resort is only a very short distance from the famous Talay Bua Daeng also known as Red Lotus Sea.
Our place is only 3km, walking distance for the fit and active people, from Ban Diam, the departure point of the boat tours.
Every morning starting from sunrise many tourists flock to this massive lake to witness this amazing spectacle of endless carpets of flowers.
The sunrise time can can vary from 06:00 to 07:00 depending on the time of year.
Boats with drivers are available to hire which will take you out on this lake where you will be surrounded by millions of open lotus flowers.
A small boat for two people costs 300 baht and a larger boat for up to seven people costs 500 baht.
During the peak season there can be a queue for the boats in the morning, at Bua Daeng Homestay Resort we book boats for our guests to avoid them having to wait.
